Due to COVID-19, it is important that all attendees acknowledge there are inherent potential risks associated with large events such as ESA 2024. Do I have to wear a mask at ESA 2024?
There is no requirement for you to wear a mask, but if you are comfortable wearing one we encourage you to do so. Extra masks will be available at the registration desk and at the ESA exhibition booth.
Will you have hand sanitiser on site?
There are sanitisation stations throughout the venue and at the registration desk.
Do I need to keep socially distanced?
We encourage attendees to maintain social distancing where possible. To help with this, the capacity of the meeting rooms has been reduced to increase distance between seats.
What cleaning and sanitation will happen at the venue?

What should I do if I test positive to COVID at ESA 2024? Who should I tell?
Mandatory isolation if you test positive to COVID-19 is not a requirement in Victoria. However, we encourage anyone who tests positive while at ESA 2024 to self-isolate, follow the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 checklist, and advise the conference organisers on esa@kaigi.com.au.
What should I do if I test positive immediately after the event and I suspect I was positive whilst in attendance at ESA 2024? Who should I tell?
Any positive COVID tests need to be reported online to your local government in Australia, and to the conference organisers at esa@kaigi.com.au. If you are an international attendee, please refer to your country’s guidance around reporting positive COVID tests.
