Earlybird registration closes on Friday 6 September 2024. Standard registration will remain open until the start of the conference.

Full Registration Inclusions

  • Attendance at all conference sessions
  • Welcome drinks (Sunday 8 December 2024)
  • Barbara Rice Memorial Poster session (Monday 9 December 2024)
  • Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on conference session days (Monday 9 to Thursday 12 December 2024)

Monday registration also includes attendance to the Barbara Rice Memorial Poster session.

Please note that all fees are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST.

Member Registration applies if you are a financial member of the Ecological Society of Australia (ESA) or the Australian Mycological Society (AMS).

*Student Registrations

The Ecological Society of Australia (ESA) actively supports the professional development of future ecologists and conservationists, and the long-held policy of subsidising to keep student registration fees as low as possible will continue. The student rate applies to full time, unwaged students. To receive the student rate, you will be requested to provide your student ID to verify your eligibility.

Conference Dinner

Conference Dinner tickets are $120 per person.

The ESA 2024 Conference Dinner will be held at Leopard Lodge at Melbourne Zoo and is a stand-up event (limited casual seating will be available). There will be an opportunity for pre-dinner twilight tours at the Zoo (additional cost applies)

Payment of registration fees

Credit Card: Payment can be by credit card (MasterCard, Visa or AMEX). Credit card payments will be processed via Stripe Checkout (a third party gateway) and attract a 2% merchant fee.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT): Bank details will be on your invoice.

Code of Conduct

You will need to agree to the Code of Conduct to complete the registration process. Please click here to view and familiarise yourself beforehand.

Cancellations

We hope that you will not have to cancel your registration, however, should this be necessary cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Secretariat. Cancellations received prior to 7 November 2024 will receive a full refund less $100 administration charge. Refunds for cancellations received after 7 November 2024 will only be made in exceptional circumstances. If you are unable to attend, a substitute is welcome at no extra charge. Please advise the secretariat of the details of the substitute delegate in writing (esa@kaigi.com.au).

Health and Safety

Do I have to wear a mask at ESA 2024?

There is no requirement for you to wear a mask, but if you are comfortable wearing one we encourage you to do so.

Will you have hand sanitiser on site?

There are sanitisation stations throughout the venue and at the registration desk.

What cleaning and sanitation will happen at the venue?

Where can I find First Aid assistance?

For assistance please see the Registration Desk. If it is an emergency, call 000 immediately.

I need to see a doctor – where can I find one?
